一、教學目標與要求
1.知識與能力目標
知識目標：
能夠聽說認讀的單詞和短語： thousand, hundred, cost
能聽說的句子：
what is expensive? a car is expensive.
what is cheap? a pencil is cheap.
能聽說讀的句子：it costs one thousand eight hundred yuan.
能力目標：
通過多種活動，培養學生能夠用準確的語言來描述物品，并告訴別人價格的能力。
2.情感態度目標  
培養學生的體諒父母的艱辛并培養勤儉節約的優良品質。                    
二、 教學重點及難點
本單元重點復習的是用形容詞來形容物品。主要句型是：this …is…. 以及it’s…. 讓學生學會用形容詞描述事物以及談論商品的價格。本單元的難點是如何讓學生準確把價格表示出來。
三、 課前準備
電腦多媒體，錄音機，單詞卡片，彩筆以及各種與教學內容相關的實物。
四、 教學過程
step 1 greeting and warm up
sing a song. “this is my new house”.

t: what’s the weather like today?
ss: it’s sunny and warm.
t: ……

t: what’s your favorite color?
s1: it’s blue.
step 2 reviews
t: come on, show me your favorite color.
(拿出一盒長短不一的彩色鉛筆，供學生挑選)
s1: (拿出藍色鉛筆)this one.
t: can you describe this pencil?
s1: this pencil is blue.
t: yes, and?
s2: this pencil is short.
s3: this pencil is new.
ss: ……
t: now i show you the color, you tell me as quickly as you can, ok?
ss: ok.
(教師快速出示一種顏色的鉛筆，學生快速反應，并用句型“this pencil is …”把顏色說出來)

教師板書thousand 并強調th要吐舌頭。
教師通過電腦多媒體進行數字的趣味操練，尤其重點強調千和百的讀法。
