在課件出示了climb trees危險畫面之后，點擊進入下一張幻燈片，出現“play the piano” “climb mountains” “wednesday”三張圖片，要求學生make a sentence，對已學新詞進行個簡短回顧。
然后又銜接學生回答 “i often play the piano and climb mountains on wednesdays.”提問: “ what do you do on the weekend？”要求學生聽錄音，回答問題。引出兩個go的詞組，go shopping和go hiking, 從而展開 “shop---shopping---go shopping” “hike—hiking---go hiking”的教學，讓學生扎實掌握該詞組。
在 “go hiking”的途中，看到了一座漂亮的房子，教師帶領學生進入休息，看到照片，呈現 “grandparents”，進行分步驟教學，grand---parents—grandparents”。而后以一句 “i often visit grandparents on the weekend”進行 “visit grandparents”的教學。
新詞教學就到此結束，然后通過看首字母猜單詞、聽錄音跟讀、齊讀、小組自編對話等形式鞏固所學。
step2 let’s chant
let’s chant的節奏感非常強。第一次先讓學生聽錄音，整體感知；接著第二次跟錄音；第三次就開始分小組說唱；最后全班一起chant結束此部分。
4.延伸環節
讓學生欣賞歌曲 “weekend”(let’s enjoy the “weekend”)，自然引出本課時主題“enjoy the weekend”，預示學生過一個有意義的周末，課堂在此提升了主題，在此得以結束。
