教學目標：
知識目標：能聽、說、讀、寫本課句型：grandpa is writing a letter. brother is doing homework. mom is cooking dinner in the kitchen. he’s writing an e-mail in the study.
能力目標：能完成接電話的任務，能夠用… is …in….句子介紹家人正在做什么。
情感策略文化等有關目標：培養學生熱愛生活、愛親人的美好情感，并養成互幫互助的良好習慣。
教學重難點：
重點：熟練掌握四會句子，能用本單元所學內容完成接電話的任務。
難點：句型how’s everybody doing? just fine. 的理解與運用。
教學準備：
1. 電話機一部，手機兩個
2. john，mike，uncle larry及mike’s dad 的頭飾。
3. mike家人動作圖片
4. 難點句型how’s everybody doing? just fine.的卡片。
教學過程：
step 1  preparation
1. let’s chant (課本49頁)
2. guess
出示陳潔及其家人圖片，讓學生猜猜他們在干什么。然后師領著邊說邊做一遍。接著師問how many people are there in chen jie’s family? who are they? 復習father, dad, mother, mom, brother等人稱單詞。
step 2  pre-reading
1. our class is a family, too. we are all sisters and brothers. we should help each other. now the phone is ringing. who can answer the phone？ 找生接電話。
s1: hello.
sarah: hello. this is sarah. can i speak to miss gao, please.
s1: sure. hold on, please.
sarah: thank you.
s1: miss gao, there is a call for you.
miss：i’m coming. who’s that?
s1: sarah. (師提示回答)
miss：thank you. hello. this is miss gao.
sarah: hello. how are you doing?
miss: just fine. i’m drawing pictures.
sarah: what about john? can i speak to him, please?
miss: sure. hold on, please. john, there is a call for you.
john: i’m coming. who’s that? (師提示回答，并做強調。)
miss：sarah.
john: hello.
sarah: hello. how are you doing?
john: just fine. i’m…. (師提示回答，并對how are you doing? 做講解，然后提問幾個學生，加以練習。)
sarah: how’s everybody doing?
john: just fine. …(師講解how’s everybody doing? 以小組為單位提問兩組。how’s everybody doing in your group? )
sarah: ok! i am listening to music. bye.
john: bye.
2. 師問what is sarah doing? 生根據對話及屏幕內容進行回答。
師接著問do you know what is mike doing? let’s visit him to see what is he doing? ok?
3. 打開課件look. this is his home. it’s very beautiful. 介紹房間。
4. 根據上圖中電話，導出the phone is ringing. let’s see who dials the phone? and who answer the phone? ok?
師放視頻，結束后回答問題，介紹并領讀uncle larry.
