step 5 精講點(diǎn)撥: the pen you bought didn’t work. 你買(mǎi)的這支鋼筆不能用了。
1） you bought 為定語(yǔ)從句，修飾前面的名詞pen.定語(yǔ)從句一般有關(guān)系詞引導(dǎo)。當(dāng)先行詞表物時(shí)，關(guān)系代詞常用that或which.關(guān)系代詞在從句中作定語(yǔ)時(shí)，可以省略。eg: the book(that/which) i borrowed yesterday is very interesting.我昨天借得這本書(shū)很有趣。
2） work可以表示機(jī)器、工具等發(fā)揮其功能，意為“運(yùn)轉(zhuǎn)；工作”，sth. doesn’t/didn’t work意為“某物出故障了/壞了”，與句型there is/was something wrong with sth.同義。
my watch doesn’t work.=there’s something wrong with my watch.
