1、how long與when
兩者都是對時間狀語提問,how long譯為“多久,多長時間”,是對一段時間提問;
when是“什么時候”,是具體的時間狀語的提問,不能用于現(xiàn)在完成時。
例:___ _____ have you been at the school?你來這個學校多久了?
_______ ___ you come to this school? 你什么時候來這個學校的?
2、since與for
for+ 一段時間,構成介詞短語,表“時間段”,常用于現(xiàn)在完成時。表示過去已經(jīng)開始,持續(xù)到現(xiàn)在的動作或狀態(tài)。
例:i’ve lived in china ____ ___ ____ .我在中國住了兩年了。
since連詞,引導時間狀語從句,意為“自從以來”,從句常用一般過去時,主句用完成時,有時也可用一般現(xiàn)在時。
例:he hasn’t been home _____ ___ ___ _.自從去年來他沒回過家。
