本模塊以“問題”為話題,圍繞這這一主題,通過不同形式呈現并討論一些與學生們生活學習密切相關的話題,以及這個年齡段的學生可能遇到的一些煩惱。第一單元unite 1,在聽力訓練中,以tony父母爭論他的“拉小提琴的問題”展開聽力訓練任務,在長對話中,kylie遇到了問題,sally設法幫助她解決。由于聽力、對話的內容與學生密切相關,所以學生會有興趣深入學習,從而達到語言訓練的目的。
