2) n. 次數(shù)，常以詞組的形式出現(xiàn)
(1)at a time 每次、一次 you can borrow two books at a time. 每次你可以借兩本書。
(2) at one time 曾經(jīng)、一度、過去某個時期 at one time we met frequently. 有一個時期我們常常見面。
(3) at any time任何時候、隨時 you may drop in at any time. 歡迎您隨時光臨。
(4) at no time決不、在任何時候都不 at no time will china be the first to use nuclear weapons. 中國在任何時候都不首先使用核武器。
注意：at no time位于句首時，句子常倒裝。
(5) at the same time 同時、盡管如此the two visitors arrived at the same time. 兩位來訪者同時到達。
(6) at times 有時、間或i do feel a little nervous at times.有時，我的確感到有點兒緊張。
(7) after a time 過了一段時間，過一會兒。常與非延續(xù)性動詞的一般過去時連用。after a time she came back with a basket in her hand. 過了一會兒，她手里提著一個籃子回來了。
(8) behind time 在原定時間以后，遲到 the train is ten minutes behind time. 火車晚點10分鐘。
(9) for a time一段時間、一會兒、暫時、一度。常與延續(xù)性動詞連用。he rested for a time and went on with his work. 他休息了一會兒，又繼續(xù)工作了。
(10) from time to time 不時地，有時even though the smiths have moved, we still see them from time to time.雖然史密斯一家已經(jīng)搬走，我們?nèi)匀粫r常見到他們。
(11) time and time again = time after time 多次、反復thousands of people have proved it time and time again.成千上萬的人反復證明了這一點。
(12) in time 及時、遲早we were just in time to catch the bus. 我們正好趕上那班公共汽車。
(13) on time準時、按時he seldom goes to work on time. 他很少按時上班。
(14) in no time立刻、很快 i’ll be back in no time. 我很快就回來。
(15) at all times 無論何時、一直we should at all times be aware of our own shortcomings. 我們應該時時清楚地看到我們自己的短處。
(16) in time of...在……時候these ants act as guards and soldiers in time of trouble. 這些螞蟻在遇到麻煩的時候就擔當警衛(wèi)和士兵。
(17) in one's spare time 在某人的業(yè)余時間里he often goes swimming in his spare time. 業(yè)余時間，他經(jīng)常去游泳。
(18) all the time 一直、始終they were there all the time. 他們自始至終都在那兒。
(19) have a good time 玩得很高興he had a good time during the holidays. 他假期過得很愉快。
(20) take one's time 不著急、慢慢來take your time, don't work too hard. 別著急，不要太辛苦了。

★ well此處為副詞，表示程度常用來修飾介詞短語。如：① he's well past forty. 他已四十好幾了。② the necklace is worth well over a thousand dollars. 這條項鏈的價錢遠遠超過一千美金。③ the students of the senior high school numbered well over five thousand 這所高中的學生大大超過五千人。④ it's well past six o'clock. let's hurry. 六點多了�？禳c吧。
