▲ effort作“努力”解釋時，后常跟不定式，如本句即是，請看下列例句。① his effort to reform her at last succeeded.他要改造她的努力終于成功了。② despite all my efforts to improve his life-style, he's still smoking twenty cigarettes a day. 盡管我盡力改變他的生活方式，但他還是一天吸二十支香煙。③ he's jogging round the park every morning in an effort to get fit for the football season. 他為了鍛煉身體迎接足球賽季的到來，每天早晨都繞著公園慢跑。
【注】effort可作“艱難的事”解釋，為可數名詞。如：it's such an effort to get up on these dark winter mornings.冬季早晨到處黑沉沉的，起床真艱難呀!
▲ break away from 意為“脫離”“擺脫”“斷絕來往”。如：① fortunately he broke away from that lawless group years ago.幸好幾年前他就脫離了那個不法集團。② the criminal tried to break away from the policeman.罪犯試圖從警察手里逃跑。③ smith has broken away from the labour party. 史密斯已脫離工黨。
【注】break away from亦可作“改掉”“破除”解。如：① you should break away from such bad habits. 你應該改掉這些壞習慣。② modem music has broken away from the 18th century rules. 現代音樂不再遵守十八世紀的條條框框。③ modern art has broken away from old traditions. 現代美術已擺脫了舊的傳統。④ the child broke away from all disciplines. 這孩子一點也不守規矩。

▲ solution意為“解決(辦法)”“解答(釋)”，通常后接介詞to。如：① there are no simple solutions to the problem of overpopulations. 對于人口過多的問題，沒有簡單的解決辦法。② we are looking for a solution to our financial difficulties. 我們正在尋找解決財政困難的方法。

▲讓我們先分析一下句子的結構，本句的主語是creative thinkers。謂語動詞是can find，賓語solutions后帶了一個定語從句。句首的 by短語是方式狀語。
