【知識小結】
used to do sth.表示過去常常做某事,強調現在不再這樣做。其否定式為used not...,可縮寫為usedn’t/usen’t,口語中可用didn’t use...。

(2)used to和would的區別
used to可指過去的狀態或情況,would則不能。
would表示反復發生的動作。如果某一動作沒有反復性,就不能用 would,只能用 used to。
used to表示過去經常性或習慣性的動作或狀態現在已經結束,would則表示有可能再發生。
people used to believe that the earth was flat.
過去,人們總以為地球是扁平的。(現在已不再這樣認為)
he would go to the park as soon as he was free.
過去,他一有空就去公園。(現在有可能再去)
