一、單元分析( unit analysis)
(一) 單元地位 （ unit position）
本單元的課文首先通過(guò)人生在成長(zhǎng)過(guò)程中的得與失，向?qū)W生展示了一個(gè)真實(shí)的人生面貌，從而讓學(xué)生明白，人生是一個(gè)矛盾綜合體，因此我們應(yīng)該懂得什么時(shí)候該把握住，什么時(shí)候該放棄。而解決這個(gè)問(wèn)題的辦法就是追求更加廣闊的視野，棄小我，成就大我，不過(guò)多地追求物質(zhì)財(cái)富，應(yīng)該追求智慧和精神財(cái)富，才能使自己的人生變得更加有意義。圍繞這個(gè)主題，教師可以設(shè)計(jì)活動(dòng)組織學(xué)生討論，了解成長(zhǎng)過(guò)程中我們會(huì)得到什么與失去什么，理解生活的真諦和成長(zhǎng)的過(guò)程。從而使他們，并在即將步入社會(huì)之際，對(duì)自己將要成為一個(gè)什么樣的人有一個(gè)明確的認(rèn)識(shí)，從而樹(shù)立起正確的人生觀和人生目標(biāo)。
在學(xué)習(xí)課文的同時(shí)，教師應(yīng)創(chuàng)造機(jī)會(huì)讓學(xué)生對(duì)一些社會(huì)人物的人生和一些行為進(jìn)行評(píng)價(jià)，教師提供一些典范人物作為學(xué)生的榜樣，從而培養(yǎng)他們的是非觀念和對(duì)人生的積極地思考，對(duì)人生的意義有一個(gè)更加正確的理解。在此基礎(chǔ)上，讓學(xué)生描述“ 我想成為一個(gè)什么樣的人”。
本單元的語(yǔ)法主要是復(fù)習(xí)不定式，使學(xué)生對(duì)不定式有一個(gè)全面的了解，在掌握不定式的形式和不定式的功能的同時(shí)，教師應(yīng)該提供更多的機(jī)會(huì)讓學(xué)生運(yùn)用。
additional reading 是一則非常貼近學(xué)生生活的成長(zhǎng)故事。應(yīng)該讓學(xué)生學(xué)會(huì)欣賞文章的語(yǔ)言，學(xué)習(xí)對(duì)故事的敘述。鼓勵(lì)讓學(xué)生集體活動(dòng)，互相分享自己的成長(zhǎng)故事和經(jīng)歷，

(二) 單元目標(biāo)(unit target)
1. 理解人生的真諦，樹(shù)立正確的人生目標(biāo)。
2.全面掌握動(dòng)詞不定式的用法，并能在實(shí)際中正確熟練地運(yùn)用。
3.練習(xí)閱讀技巧，并學(xué)習(xí)欣賞散文式的文章。
4. 能對(duì)一些社會(huì)人物和現(xiàn)象進(jìn)行評(píng)價(jià)， 學(xué)習(xí)友善地表達(dá)自己的反對(duì)意見(jiàn)；能比較流暢的敘述自己的故事和經(jīng)歷。
