師生以打電話的形式自由交談，滲透is that ...？ yes, speaking.用 do you like...? can you ...?what do you do on ...?等句子談論各自的愛好所能，為引出本課內容do you like volleyball? can you swim? what do you do onsunday afternoon?做好準備。在師生自由交談中，引出打電話形式，學習is that ...？的答句yes, speaking.并適時運用一般將來時。如：
t: do you like basketball?
s: yes, i do.
t: i like basketball, too. i'm going to play basketball this afternoon.

教師可將課文分為兩個部分教授。
1.本文對話的引言部分。
教師出示david和 gao shan打電話的多媒體課件（上有日歷顯示為周六，天氣暖和，陽光燦爛）。
1）學生自由描述或交談。
2）聽錄音介紹場景。
3）聽錄音回答問題，在討論中學習單詞plan.
