ss can write the words: tofu, eggplant, potato, tomato, green beans and fish. ss can use the sentences freely.

6.teaching aids: recorder, tape, pictures , multi-media etc.
7.teaching procedure:
step 1 greeting
good morning, boys and girls.
what day is it today?
today we will talk about food. get ss read the topic for 2 times.
step 2 warming up and revision
1.present some food pictures and ask ss “ what would you like ?”
they will say “ i’d like some…” (get ss revise some words about food and the sentence patterns.)
2.sing the song “ what would you like?”
step 3 presentation
1.tell ss a good news : there is a big new canteen in our school. all of us can have lunch there. let’s go and have a look.
present a story about zoom and zip in the canteen with the pictures of food. and give them a question “what’s for lunch?”. (present the new words and the sentence patterns . they can know the theme of this lesson.)
2.get the ss retell the story. (get more information from the story.)
3.devide the ss into two groups to act like zoom and zip . (lead ss
to learn the new language.)
4.ask ss “what’s for lunch?” and get ss say the words they have got in the story. teach the new words by using pictures and the word cards. put the new words into the sentences. then listen to the tape .
step 4practice
1.let’s chant.(ss can practise the sentence patterns.)

2.give them a memu which includes the new words and some other words learned before. get ss ask their deskmates “what would you like for lunch?” and tick the food according to their answer. (ss can practise listening ,speaking, and reading here.)
