鼓勵學(xué)生向老師、向伙伴提問。提問內(nèi)容可以是“詢問某人在干什么”，更可以提問其它學(xué)過的句型，如：“ who is the girl/boy? how many people are there in the picture? what is this/that? what are these/those? where are they? … ”
教師指著圖片的背景部分問：do you know where it is? where are the children? 自然引出“children’s center”，教師帶讀“children’s center”。
教師接著詢問學(xué)生：do you want to go to the children’s center? 本句較長，教師分段帶讀，突破難點(diǎn)：
the children’s center
go to the children’s center
want to go to the children’s center
do you want to go to the children’s center?
活動六：讀讀寫寫
教學(xué)參考時間：4—5 分鐘
教師說：now, zhang peng calls john.（教師此時做打電話的動作） what are they talking about? listen.
教師播放read and write 的錄音，要求學(xué)生認(rèn)真聽。
聽過之后，教師問：what is john doing? what is zhang peng doing? 學(xué)生回答：john’s doing the dishes. zhang peng is talking.
再次播放，學(xué)生跟讀。
教師向?qū)W生出示本部分的掛圖，對this is zhang peng 的用法作必要解釋。告訴學(xué)生打電話時若想告訴對方自己是誰，不能說：i am…. 而應(yīng)該說：this is / it’s …. 教師對其它重難點(diǎn)句子的閱讀也要做必要解釋，如：i am talking to you. do you want to go to the children’s center?
鼓勵學(xué)生看書上的圖案，試讀對話。
完成教材中第48頁 answer the questions的活動。
活動七：學(xué)發(fā)音
教學(xué)參考時間：4—5 分鐘
教師播放教學(xué)課件。內(nèi)容和方法如下：
教師出示單詞：cool, goose, school, boots, ，讓學(xué)生邊聽邊讀，試著找出oo 組合的發(fā)音規(guī)律。然后教師出示字母組合ou 和單詞 soup, group, coup，對比ou 和oo組合發(fā)音的不同，歸納規(guī)律。
教師播放該部分錄音，學(xué)生跟讀。然后請幾名學(xué)生試著朗讀繞口令。
用同種方法學(xué)習(xí)tr, tw的發(fā)音規(guī)律。
教師播放pronunciation整段錄音，學(xué)生整體跟讀、體會oo,ou, tr, tw組合在句子中的發(fā)音。
4、let’s play （趣味操練）
活動八：書寫練習(xí)
教學(xué)參考時間：2—3 分鐘
教師指導(dǎo)學(xué)生在練習(xí)本上書寫四會的句子，看誰寫的又快又好。
活動九：木頭人
教學(xué)參考時間：1—2分鐘
教師發(fā)口令：“now, everybody. do an action.”全班學(xué)生任意作動作，當(dāng)教師說：“stop.”時所有學(xué)生都保持原來的動作。教師任意問學(xué)生：“what are you doing?”，學(xué)生根據(jù)自己做的動作回答。
5、consolidation and extension （擴(kuò)展活動）
活動十：紅旗不倒
教學(xué)參考時間：2—3 分鐘
在教室的四個角落分別貼好四個動作短語ing 形式的卡片，如：doing the dishes, answering the phone, drawing pictures, reading a book 等。請五名學(xué)生上來，其中的四名學(xué)生分別朝四張卡片的方向站好，另一名學(xué)生站在中間手扶著紅旗。
游戲開始，四名學(xué)生齊聲問：what are you doing? ，中間的學(xué)生任選一張卡片上的動詞短語作答，如：i’m reading a book. ，答完后，立即放開扶著紅旗的手，與朝向reading a book短語卡片方向站立的學(xué)生交換位置。如果交接迅速，紅旗不倒，則繼續(xù)游戲；否則，游戲結(jié)束。
