第三課時(shí):
一、 定位
input-based,聽力理解為主。
二、 教學(xué)目標(biāo)
通過聽電話會(huì)議,幫助學(xué)生理解并獲取必要的具體信息,學(xué)會(huì)做電話記錄,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生提取關(guān)鍵信息的能力。
三、 教學(xué)環(huán)節(jié)設(shè)計(jì)
1. revision
ss have a quiz about the useful and expressions reading class
2. leading-in
1) get ss to discuss what a personal assistant for a famous person should do. say: a famous person is usually busy. so he/she needs someone to deal with his/her job. what should we call this kind of persons? what do they usually do? for example, when there are telephone calls to his/her boss, what should be done?
2) get ss to find out how to take telephone message. ask: when taking telephone message, what should be written down? why? how to get the information?(learn the new word“caller”)caller’s name& phone number (correct spelling, usually repeated)message left (the necessary notes)
3) say: tracy fang, a personal assistant for a famous singer and actress. you are supposed to be tracy fang and listen to three telephone conversations and complete the message form in page 5 students’ book.
3. listening a
1) play the recording for the ss to listen and complete the message from for the first message. then check their answers. (if necessary, play the first message again before checking their answers.)
2) go on playing the recording for the ss to listen and complete the message form for the second and the third message. play the recording again and let ss check the answers by themselves. then check their answers in class.
4. leading-in
1) ask: what does success mean to your parent/relatives/friends? get the ss to say something about results of their survey.
2) present the new words: overcome, admire, accident, medal, disabled, violin, anyone, hero, national, pride. tell ss they are going to listen to four students talking about success and successful people. ask ss to find one sentence to describe what success means to each student or why they admire the successful people.(lead ss to read the requirement carefully-what they should find while listening)
5. listening b
1) get the ss glance through the students’ names. remind ss to take down the key words of each student’s sentence and then complete the sentence.
2) play the recording for the ss to listen and take down the necessary notes for each sentence. get ss to share their notes in class.
3) play it again for the ss to listen and complete the sentences. check the answers in class.
