(2) convey可作“表達”“傳達(思想感情)”“轉達”解釋。① "really?" i said, trying to convey that it did not really matter. “真的嗎?”我說，意思是說那并非真的要緊。② convey my congratulations to your brother. 代我向你弟弟表示祝賀。③ his manner conveyed a slight nervousness. 他的態度透露出一點緊張。④ i couldn't convey my feelings in words at that time.當時我的心情無法用語言表達。⑤ words cannot convey how happy i am. 言語無法表達我是多么幸福。
(3) convey亦可作“傳導”“傳播”“傳染”解。如：① air is the medium by which sound waves are conveyed.空氣是聲波傳播的媒質。② a wire conveys an electric current. 導線輸送電流。
