否定句:在助動詞的后面加not:

he isn’t watching tv now.
the students aren’t listening to the teacher.
it isn’t raining.
疑問句和回答:將助動詞be提前到句首, 回答時亦用be:
are you writing a book this month? yes, i am. no, i’m not.
is he watching tv now? yes, he is. no, he isn’t.
are the students listening to the teacher? yes, they are. no, they aren’t.
is it raining? yes, it is. no, it isn’t.
