where did ------? 是一般過去時的一般疑問句,did是助動詞.在一般疑問句中,只要加了助動詞,或didn’t 構成的否定句,,句子謂語動詞變為原形.
例: what did you do yesterday?
昨天你做什么了?
did they finish the work?
他們把工作完成了嗎?
i didn’t ask him about his study.
我沒有問他關于學習的事.
2. on vacation 在假期. vacation 的同義詞是holiday,
例: we went to our hometown during the vacation.
假期我們回;老家了.
where did you go for your vacation .
你去哪里度假了?
3. went 是go 的過去式, go to the mountain是去登山,
例: why didn’t you go to the mountains with them?
問什么你不和他們一起去登山呢?
go to 是固定詞組, 后加名詞做賓語, 若賓語是副詞,, 則to 省略.
例:he went to school when he was five.
他五歲時上學.
let’s go home together.
我們一起回家吧.
類似的詞組還有: go to the beach, go to new york, go to summer camp.
2. it was sunny and hot all day.
全天陽光燦爛,天氣很熱.
was 是is 的過去式, 句子的主語是單數, 若主語是復數, 謂語動詞的過去式則用were.
i was at school yesterday. 昨天我在學校.
they were all here, 他們都在這里.
sunny和hot 在句子中做表語,
eg. it’s hot and wet today.
今天又熱又濕.
all day,是全天,整天的意思, 可以直接修飾表示時間的單數詞語,來構成副詞短語. 類似的詞組還有all night, all week, all summer, all year.
例: i lived in the seaside all summer.
整個夏天我住在海邊.
it’s very cold all year.
整年都很冷.
3. we had great fun playing in the water.
我們在水中玩的開心.
fun 是不可數名詞, 不可與冠詞連用. 但可以和a lot, some, much 等連用.
例: we had a lot of fun at the party.
have fun doing 是固定句式, 類似的句式還有have a good time doing, have some question doing,.
例: it’s great fun playing golf.
打高爾夫球很有意思.
