step 1:
1. let a pupil act a little teacher.
2. listen to a song“the signs in the park”.
(設計意圖: 在上課伊始,與學生聽一首與教學內容有關的歌曲,既調動了情緒,又喚醒記憶。同時,讓“小老師”把以前學過的知識進行復習,使學生快速進入英語學習的氛圍,同時為下一步教學做鋪墊.)
step 2:
1. 教學no smoking.句型what does it mean?
(1)t: look,(師邊指邊問) what does it mean? (出示標志)
出示單詞,引導學生自讀,自猜:
tea jeans peach mean
toe home cold smoke
引導學生用:it means---或it means we/you should/shouldn’t---來回答。
(設計意圖: 先讓學生讀一讀、想一想,在此基礎上進行比較、發現、歸納,必要時還可給學生討論的機會,以此喚起學生的主體意識,從而讓他們自己獲得知識、技能和方法。)
(2)通過guessing game來練習it means we/you should/shouldn’t ---
a: 教師畫圖“o”
問:what does this picture mean?
學生回答,如:it means the sun/the moon/a plate an orange/an eye/a tape---
b: 教師做停的動作問:what does this gesture mean?
學生回答:“it means stopping”。we shouldn’t do anything。c: 教師做表示安靜的動作問:“what does it mean”?
教師引導學生用多種方式回答:“it means“be quiet”.it means you can’t speak loudly. it means we shouldn’t make noise. it means we should keep quiet.
(設計意圖:教師以生活常見的圖、動作等引發學生的想象力,既激發了學生學習的熱情,同時又鞏固了新學的句型,并且滾動復習了以前學過的詞匯。)
2. 教學be quiet
由上面的guessing game來引出be quiet,指出相當于keep quiet.

3. 出示其余標志,學生自學并討論它的意思。
小組長匯報討論結果,教師板書。

no littering it means we shouldn’t litter.
no parking it means we shouldn’t park.
do not touch it means you shouldn’t touch.
no eating or drinking it means you shouldn’t eat or drink.
no smoking it means “no smoking”
keep off the grass it means we shouldn’t walk on the grass.
danger it means you must stay away from the building.
be quiet it means we shouldn’t make noise
(設計意圖:《英語課程標準》指出:學生是學習和發展的主體。教師不再是教學的主宰者,而是學生學習的引領者。學生才是學習的主人。從以上的環節我們可以看出學生的能力是不可低估的。給學生充分的時間和空間,讓學生成為課堂的主人,就能讓可貴的思維之花綻放于英語課堂。)
4.頭腦風暴,多媒體迅速點出公共標志圖片,請學生準確地說出來。

(設計意圖: 用游戲的性質去復習鞏固8個公共標志,學生有點耳目一新的感覺,也激發了學生的思維,他們那根想學、樂學、愿學的神經也興奮起來了,唯恐自己比別人落后.)
