學生事先準備好小圖片我設計好的空房間，同桌倆人合作完成房間的布置，然后再進行交流。

教學反思：
本課的重點和難點是語言的運用，為了能更好的達到學生語言運用，在課中做好充分的鋪墊。從復習單詞入手，利用評價的方式引出課題 “my new room” 再利用多媒體課件呈現自己的房間，引出句型 “i have my own room now.” 重點放在新單詞 “own” 的教學，從單詞再到句子，循序漸進。
在重點句型 “there is …/there are…” 的教學中，滲透語音升降調的練習，培養學生的語感，最有效的方法就是讓學生模仿，通過聽磁帶錄音模仿，在此同時要為學生創造一個安靜的環境，提供模仿的條件。
注重活動的有效性，練操句型從易到難，并結合實際情況進行語言的拓展，讓學生設計自己的房間并能進行描述，培養學生的動手能力和培養美感，并能把所學的知識加以運用。
