1. i’m far too busy to go shopping.  ( far在此作副詞，意思是“太，極其”， 用來加強語氣)、
  e.g. don’t worry, your father is far better now. i’m sure he will come home in a week.
  far   (adj.)   (1) being long way off     e.g. these foreign guests came from a far country.
(2) other    e.g. the boy was standing at the far side of the table.
(adv.)   (1) how long or short sth. is    e.g. how far can this plane fly in an hour?
        (2) indicating a long way   e.g. i’m too tired to walk far.
2. up-to-date  (adj.)  of the present time, modern   (*out of date “過期的，過時的”)
e.g. this is an up-to-date computer.   his mobile phone is up -to-date one.
