e.g. the football match is covered live on tv.
6. presentation  (n.)  “贈送，授予，頒授”
e.g. the queen will make the presentation herself.
  present  (v.)   “介紹，授予”　
e.g. the president presented a medal to the winner.
    (adj.)   “現(xiàn)在的，現(xiàn)存的”
e.g. he is busy at the present moment.
    (n.)  =gift  
e.g. many thanks for the present you sent yesterday.
7. announce  (v.)   (1) tell, make known  
e.g. at this moment the bell rang announcing the end of the class.
            (2) say that someone has come by calling out his name
e.g. the guard announced mr. green.
8. be full of = be filled with
e.g. the basin is full of water.   /  the basin is filled with water.
9. success (u) 成功，成就，好運
e.g. to work hard brings success.      i wish you have great success in life.
   (c ) 成功的人或事，成功的例子
e.g. the plan was a great success.
(adj.) successful    (adv.) successfully
10. people, person, man
  people作“人，人們”講時， 作為集合名詞使用，表示復數(shù)含義。
e.g. how many people are there in your family?
  person側重于“個別人”，有單復數(shù)形式。
e.g. who is the tallest person in your class?
  man可作“人，男人”講，其復數(shù)形式是men。作“人類”講時，其前一般不加冠詞。
e.g. all men must die.
11. show  (n.)
(1) 展覽，展覽會，展覽物　 e.g. there will be a flower show in our city.
        (2) 公眾娛樂，表演  e.g. have you seen any good shows these days?
         (v.)
(1) 讓看到，把…拿給別人看  e.g. show me your new book, please.
(2) 陳列，展示  e.g. the company showed its new designs.
(3) 出現(xiàn)，露出  e.g. he is afraid to show his face in the public.
(4) 指出，帶領  e.g. show me the way to the hospital, please.
12. right (adj.)
(1) 右方的  e.g. the boy writes with his left hand instead of his right hand.
(2) 對的，正確的  e.g. please put the clock right.
(adv.)
(1) 在右邊，向右  e.g. turn right at the second crossing.
(2) 對，不錯  e.g. gusee right!
(3) 一直，直接  e.g. go right home.
(4) 立刻，馬上  e.g. put away your books right away.
(n.) 右方  e.g. keep to the right.   the hospital is on your right.
