1. 認知目標:掌握本課的四會單詞:summer, hot, rainy;三會單詞:beach, shell, sandcastle, look for;掌握以下句型:summer is the second season. it’s the hottest season. is he planting rice? yes, he is. no, he isn’t. is she making a sandcastle? no, she isn’t. she is looking for shells.
2. 能力目標:能夠簡單描繪夏天的特點和夏天的活動。
3. 情感態度目標:培養學生用英語交流的興趣及熱愛大自然的良好品質。

step1. warming-up
1. greetings: t: good morning, boys and girls. glad to meet you. what’s your hobby? (free talk about hobbies.)
2. revision: t: my hobby is travelling. do you like travelling? during my travelling, i like taking some pictures. look! do you like these pictures? can you tell me what season is it?
s: it’s spring.
(伴隨著音樂,屏幕上顯示許多春天景色的圖片)
t: do you like spring?
in china, when does spring begin? ( march.)
how’s the weather in spring? (warm)
what can we do in spring? (we can fly kites, plant trees, farm the land…)
(通過問答復習舊知)

1. lead-in: t: we can do a lot of things in spring.
can we climb mountains in spring? (yes.)
can we swim in the river? (no.)
can we eat ice-cream? (no.)
can we wear t-shirts? (no.)
we can do these things in summer.
2. read the word “summer” (領讀,小組讀,個人讀,板書summer)
3. t: spring is the first season. summer comes after spring. summer is the second season of the year. (領讀,小組讀,個人讀,板書句子。)
4. t: how’s the weather in summer?
s: it’s hot. (出現孩子扇扇子的圖片,領讀單詞。)
t:summer is a hot season. it is hotter than spring/ autumn/winter.
