本板塊插圖中所出現的物品是本學期所教的一些主要單詞。教師組織復習時可先對出現的物品進行歸類小結，幫助學生識記所學過的單詞，然后指導學生運用所學過的語言合理組織對話內容。
a、 建議教師先幫助學生對以前所學單詞進行歸類復習。 采用不同的方法復習各類單詞，如文具類單詞、動物類單詞、玩具類單詞可采用look and say形式；如動作類、感覺類次可采用listen and do形式等。

教材簡析：
本單元通過教學what’s this/that in english?it’s a …使學生在學習的過程中能運用這些話向中衛的老師、同學和朋友請教，從而促進學生的英語學習。除此之外，還要求學生能用do you like …?yes,i do./no ,i don’t. 的句式了解對方對某物是否喜歡。
在教學過程中，教師應重視情境創設，刺激學生的交際動機，使學生產生詢問的欲望。教師還要鼓勵學生運用所學知識，增進相互間的了解，使他們學會相互關心，相互尊重。
本單元所提供的新單詞是學生感興趣的玩具類的名詞。教師運用多種方法促進學生的有效記憶，并引導學生根據本單元所教的新句型歸納已學過的名詞，如學習用品、交通工具等，并進行新舊名詞的替換練習。
本單元的口語訓練始終在一種色彩鮮明的背景下進行，旨在營造小學生所下的活潑歡快的氣氛。教師在這方面應多動腦筋，在選擇和制作教具時要注重趣味性。
