  一張中國地圖以及本課時所需的單詞卡片。

  天氣預報英文解說的實錄。

  教材相配套的教學課件

  教材相配套的教學錄音帶。

  學生準備好四張描述天氣狀況的形容詞卡片以及寫有城市名稱的卡片若干。

  【教學過程】

  (一)熱身、復習 (Warm-up/Revision)

  1、學生一起說兒歌(Let’s chant P31)

  2、教師手指自己的衣服說:I am wearing a …. What are you wearing?引導學生說出自己穿的衣服的名稱,如: a shirt、jeans、black shoes….

  (二)呈現新課 (Presentation)

  教師說:It’s warm today.(指指外面) So we wear shirts or T-shirts. Today we are going to learn about the weather. Now let’s watch a weather report.

  教師播放一段英文解說的天氣預報實錄。待學生看完后,教師說:This is a weather report.

  同時呈現單詞卡片,領讀weather report(把卡片貼到黑板上)

  教師要注意提醒學生讀weather時,th咬舌尖。

  教師播放Unit 4 Let’s learn A部分的課件。學生觀看。

  教師提問:Is it a weather report?

  學生回答:Yes, it’s a weather report.

  教師再問:Is it warm in Lhasa?點擊句子It’s cool in Lhasa.

  引導學生答出:No. It’s cool in Lhasa.讓更多的學生重復回答。

  告訴學生拉薩位于我國西藏自治區,那里的天氣很涼快,cool是形容天氣涼快;而warm一詞是形容天氣暖和,北京的春天就是很溫暖的。教師說:It’s warm in Beijing.并引導學生跟讀。

  教師將單詞卡warm、cool貼黑板,請部分學生朗讀單詞。

  然后提問:Where is cool? Where is warm?

  啟發學生回答:It’s cool in Lhasa. It’s warm in Beijing.

  鼓勵學生用warm和cool描述我國其他城市的天氣狀況:It’s warm / cool in .…, 如果有不符合實際的敘述,教師可以用 It isn’t warm/cool in……進行簡單糾正,從而為學生進一步的學習留下懸念。

  請學生觀察書中插圖:Which city can you find?

  學生答出:Harbin、Hong Kong

  教師說:It’s cold in Harbin.  It’s hot in Hong Kong.

  用體態語言解釋hot和cold的意思。領讀單詞(把卡片貼到黑板上)。

  教師播放自制課件,點擊出12個城市的天氣狀況。每點擊一個城市, 學生用It’s …in…來描述一次。

  學生3-4人一組,仿照課文表演一個城市天氣預報。Good morning. This is a weather report.(一起說),然后每人預報兩個城市的天氣。

  練習好以后,教師找幾個組來在班里表演,教師要及時做出評價。

  (三)趣味操練 (Practice)

  兩人小組活動。學生A手中拿著城市名稱卡片(課件中的12個城市),學生B手中拿著天氣卡片。學生A隨意拿出一張卡片并說:It’s…  學生B根據A拿的城市的天氣狀況拿出相應的天氣卡片并說:It’s…,然后兩人一起說:It’s …in…
