教學過程設計:
step 1.
ask the students what they know about the history of the kowloon walled city . ask students to find information about the kowloon walled city in libraries or the internet before class.
step 2.
talk about the idea of changes . ask students what has changed in their lives.
step 3.
read the interview and ask students to follow along in their books. ask students to underline any words they do not understand and try to guess their meanings from the whole context.
step 4.
tell students to read the passage. encourage them to ask questions and clarify any misunderstandings.
step 5.
divide the class into two groups. have one group read the part of millie and the other group read the part of mr. dong.
step 6. game
ask students to interview each other in pairs about how they think hong kong has changed since 1997 when 150 years of british rule ended and hong kong was returned to china.
