一. 把全班分為a，b兩隊，老師準備一些圖片，其中包括蒙眼寫字，塞耳聽錄音的圖片，為的是能讓學生體驗helen keller的艱難。一名學生出示圖片另一名學生用can/can’t造句
s1: 出示圖片

復習以前學過的單詞的同時，并為本節課要學習的could\couldn’t 做鋪墊。
二. 再出示幾張自己小時候的照片并介紹
i was born in huan ren 1980. can you guess what i could \ couldn’t do?

同時讓學生談論下自己小時候能做和不能做的事情
三. 出示一張海倫的圖片，并讓學生根據自己查閱的有關她的一些資料介紹她，并問同學們你們想知道海倫小時候的一些事情嗎？今天讓我們一起走進module8 unit 1，走進海倫，播放cai。第一遍讓學生們邊聽邊劃出重點單詞，如“born , world, all over…”可以請學生根據上下文猜單詞的意思，也可以教師講解生詞，請學生模仿跟讀。聽第二遍時讓學生帶兩個問題聽并試著找出答案。
q1：what could helen do?
q2: what couldn’t helen do?
這兩個問題的答案正是本課的重點句，讓學生反復操練此句型。
聽第三遍錄音時讓學生跟讀，并讓學生分組練習對話。
四.homework: tell the story of helen to your friends and parents.
