t: china is our country, look, which country is it?   (t出示美國地圖)

t: what do you know about america? ( t draws a map of america on the blackboard)
ss:迪士尼、洛杉磯、紐約… … .
t: yes, los angeles and new york. where is los angeles? it’s in the west of america. where is new york? it’s in the east of america.(t teaches the words and stick the word cards on the blackboard)

where is new york?并滲透it’s in the … of america.句型。本環節利用學生對美國的了解和感官來滲透新的知識點，為后面方位詞的學習奠定基礎。）

t: west  east  north  south (teach the words with different ways)
  practice the new words: i say, you do; i do, you say; i say the letters, you say the words.
t: where is los angeles?
ss: it’s in the west of america.
t: where is new york?
ss: it’s in the east of america.
( 本環節利用指南針上的“e s w n” 四個字母來幫學生形象直觀的理解“東南西北”四個方位詞，并在單詞的操練中運用“上下左右”拍手分別來表示“北南西東”四個方位，還利用說開頭一個字母來讓學生辨別是哪個方位詞，通過多種操練使學生掌握四個方位詞，并利用黑板上的美國地圖，通過問: where is los angeles/new york?將句型it’s in the …of america.直觀地展示給學生，并幫助學生理解抽象的地理位置。值得注意的是：it’s in the east of america.一句中“the”的發音老師可用一個提示性的手勢來幫助學生記憶。)
