step1. revision
ask and answer with the pictures.
e.g. t: does su hai dance beautifully?
ss: yes, she does.
step2. presentation

can you guess out? invite good ss to guess.
elicit the questions ‘does he/she live in…?’ ‘how old is he/she?’
2.t: wang bing has an english friend. let’s listen to the tape and find ‘where is he from?’ and how old he is.
3.looking at the picture, ss listen to the tape of p30, and answer the questions.
4.listen again and answer the questions ‘what is wangbing doing?’
5.elicit the new words ‘surf, e-mail, busy, town.’
6.open the book, and read after the tape.
7.ss work in pairs to read.

1.ask and answer, practise ‘what subject do you study at school?’ ‘what do you do usually do on sunday?’
2.let’s listen and find out what subjects wangbing’s english friend have?
3.looking at the picture, listen to the tape and then answer the questions.
