1. be able to read and understand the passage, and to write a passage like this.
2. be able to finish the sentences and answer the question.

step1 preparation:
1. sing a song: at the zoo.
2. ss answer the phrases as quickly as they can.. teacher show pictures ss answer.
3. free talk:  t: what did you do last weekend?
                s1: i ……
t - s2.
work in pairs, like this. ------ check.                       
step2 pre-reading:
1. t: good. now look here, today is mar.24th. (呈日歷)
what day is it today?
ss: it is wed.
t: what day was it yesterday?
ss: it was tue. (板書并讓生說is和was 的不同)
t:it was mon. . it was last saturday. it was last sunday. it was last weekend.
ss: yes.
2. t: i know you did many things last weekend. do you want to know what did i do last weekend?
ss: yes.
t: now look here. (t show ppt)
look, i cooked meals, cleaned the room and washed the clothes. i was busy last weekend. (t shows this sentence.)
ss read it, s1 say the meaning.
3. t: wu yifan was busy too last weekend. guess: what did he do? (ss guess)
t: maybe. now, let’s open your books to find the answers.
step 3 in-reading:
1. t: read the passage silently and quickly, then tick or cross.
(   ) 1. wu yifan visited his grandma last saturday morning.
(   ) 2. last sunday was his grandma’s birthday.
2. t: read it carefully again, then answer:(劃出活動)
(1)what did wu yifan do last saturday morning?
(2)what did wu yifan do last sunday morning?
(3)what did wu yifan do last sunday afternoon?
3. t: read it for the 3 time, be carefully, and then find out difficulties.
 (ss find and discuss in groups. then ask. others answer.)
t: let’s finish the sentences. (on book)
4. t: read it again, more carefully, answer:
what did wu yifan do last weekend?
5. listen to the tape. 
follow the tape to read it.
6. read it by yourself. (ppt: 注意事項)
step 4 post-reading
1. retell the passage
t: who can retell the passage like this? (呈現課件
discuss in groups. -----check.
2. t: everybody has a different weekend. how about your friends? let’s make a survey: what did your friends do last weekend?  .
