六、教學目標：
1. 掌握單詞halloween, need, tomorrow, vase, mask, pumpkin, lantern, horse, change
2.能聽懂、會讀、會說日常交際用語：what (else) do we need? we need ….
七、教學重難點：
1. 單詞halloween和詞組pumpkin lantern的發(fā)音。
2. 初步了解掌握句型：what do you like? i like …. do you like …? yes, i do. / no, i don’t.
3. 萬圣節(jié)前夕的背景知識。
第二部分 教學過程
第一步：重難點突破
t: hello, boys and girls. nice to meet you. 同學們，大家好。很高興和大家一起來學習第四單元。首先請同學們回答老師一個問題。
t: what date is it today?今天是幾月幾日？
t: yes, now is october. 對，現(xiàn)在是十月份。in october there are lots of festivals. (在十月里有許多的節(jié)日，例如我們的國慶節(jié)，有時中秋節(jié)也在十月份。) today we are going to learn a new one. we call it “halloween”.(今天我們要來學習一個新的節(jié)日，我們稱它為“萬圣節(jié)前夕”。)
t: now please read after me. (ppt②點出單詞，帶讀halloween, 教)現(xiàn)在，請同學們跟我讀一讀。
t: 請同學們再跟老師來讀一讀，大家要注意老師的口型。（跟讀單詞）
t: good. now do you know the origin about halloween?你知道萬圣節(jié)前夕的來歷嗎？現(xiàn)在讓我們一起來看一張知識卡片。)

t: 怎么樣？你現(xiàn)在知道萬圣節(jié)前夕的來歷了嗎？通過這個介紹我們知道halloween is on oct. 31st. people usually have halloween parties on that day.萬圣節(jié)前夕在每年的十月三十一日，在那天人們經(jīng)常穿著奇怪的衣服，帶著面具聚會來慶祝。for the party, people need many things. what do they need? can you guess? (為了準備這個聚會，人們需要很多東西，你能猜出他們需要什么嗎？假如你知道，你可以回答 they need …, 在這里need的意思是需要。請同學們跟著老師讀。(ppt④，學讀) 他們需要一些什么？請同學們看一看我和這位同學的示范。
t: at halloween, what do they need?
s1: they need some flowers.
s2: they need some sweets.
t: 現(xiàn)在，請同學們也來回答一下這個問題吧。
t: good. now we know they need some flowers and some sweets. what else do they need? here, “else” is a new word. it means “別的，其他的”. now, please read after me. 請同學們跟我來讀一讀這個單詞。(ppt④，學讀)
t: let me tell you. they need some pumpkin lanterns, and masks. (他們還需要一些南瓜燈，和面具) now, please read these two new words after me. (現(xiàn)在請同學們跟我讀這兩個新單詞，讀的時候請同學們注意老師的口型) (ppt⑤，學讀)
（本步驟設計說明：本節(jié)課涉及的內(nèi)容很多。除了生詞和新句型外，還萬圣節(jié)前夕的文化背景知識。所有這些都會在課文學習的過程中給學生帶來很大的困難。教師通過這種對話式的教學方法，不僅為學生提供了一種輕松，真實的英語學習環(huán)境，并且還可以滲透和幫助學生理解本課新知識，減輕后面課文學習的難度。）
