第二步：課文學習
1. t: well done, boys and girls. now we know that at halloween people need pumpkin lanterns and masks for the halloween party too. today, our friend ben and his family are going to have a halloween party. let’s go and have a look.　今天我們的朋友ben和他的家人也要進行萬圣節前夕的聚會。我們一起去看看吧。(ppt⑨出示課文圖片1和前言)
t: 好，同學們，現在請你們看一看課文圖片來回答老師幾個問題。the first question, what is the date in the picture?
t: yes, it’s october the 30th. tomorrow is october the 31st. it’s halloween. do you know what tomorrow means?你知道“tomorrow　”是什么意思嗎？
t: yes, it means 明天。now please read after me. 讀的時候請同學們注意老師的口型(ppt⑩，學讀)
2.  t: good. tomorrow is halloween. what do ben and his family want to do?　明天就是萬圣節了，ben和他的家人想要做些什么呢？
t: yes, they want to buy things for a halloween party. (對，他們要買一些東西來進行萬圣節聚會。請同學們一起跟老師來讀一讀這個詞組。
t: good. then for the party, what do they need? 那么為了這個聚會，他們需要一些什么呢請聽課文的短片，然后回答這個問題。)

t: ok. now, what do they need, do you know?
t: yes, they need some chocolate, some flowers and a vase.
do you know vase. look, this is a vase. 現在請同學們跟我讀這個單詞。（ppt⑿出示圖片和單詞，學讀）
   t: good, they need some chocolate, some flowers and a vase. what else do they need? 　
t: yes, they also need a pumkin lantern and some masks. 對，他們還需要一個南瓜燈和一些面具？那么，他們喜歡什么樣的面具呢？
3.  what masks do they like?這里有老師列舉了一些面具，請大家再看一遍短片，然后選擇回答這個問題。

t: ok. now can you tell me what masks they like?
t: yes, they like tigers, monkeys and horses. (他們喜歡老虎, 猴子和馬的面具。)
t: 現在請同學跟老師讀這個新單詞。
4.good, now, let’s listen and repeat. 好，現在請同學們跟著老師來讀一讀這篇課文。(ppt⒁教單詞change)
t: this is a new word. please read after me. 請跟著老師來讀一讀這個新單詞，注意老師的口型。
5.現在請同學也來讀一讀課文吧！注意本課的生詞和詞組。
 (本步驟設計說明：本部分教師利用課文圖片一，以及幾個主要的問題來組織課文教學，線索非常清晰，對學生整體的理解課文有較大的幫助。由于在重難點突破部分已經對其中一些難點進行了分解，所以這里對學生來講應該還是比較簡單的。)
第三步：鞏固操練
