c、分散難點，及時鞏固。
what are they talking about? listen. 接著播放read and write 的錄音，要求學生帶著問題認真聽。聽過之后，問：what is john doing? what is zhang peng doing? 學生找出答案：john’s doing the dishes. zhang peng is talking.再次播放錄音，學生跟讀。然后向學生出示本部分的掛圖，對this is zhang peng 的用法作必要解釋。告訴學生打電話時若想告訴對方自己是誰，不能說：i am…. 而應該說：this is / it’s …. 對其它重難點句子的閱讀也要做必要解釋，如：i am talking to you. do you want to go to the children’s center?
鼓勵學生看書上的圖案，試讀對話
四、鞏固提高，擴展運用
1、游戲:紅旗不倒
在教室的四個角落分別貼好四個動作短語ing形式的卡片，如：doing the dishes, answering thephone, drawing pictures, reading a book 等。請五名學生上來，其中的四名學生分別朝四張卡片的方向站好，另一名學生站在中間手扶著紅旗。游戲開始，四名學生齊聲問：what are you doing? 中間的學生任選一張卡片上的動詞短語作答如：i’m reading a book. ，答完后立即放開扶著紅旗的手，與朝向reading a book短語卡片方向站立的學生交換位置。如果交接迅速，紅旗不倒，則繼續游戲；否則，游戲結束。
五、當堂檢測。
根據上下文補上所缺的單詞的ing形式，使短文完整。
