(3)教師說:mother goat is ill.zoom, zip, monkey, rabbit are helping her.they're helpful.what can the monkey do? what can the rabbit so? what can zip do? what can zoom do?學生看課本聽read and write 部分的錄音。
(4)學生就不懂的地方提問,教師做必要的解釋。
(5)教師再放一遍錄音,然后指導學生完成“finish the sentences”的練習。
(6)教師指導學生進行四會句子的書寫。

(1)學生三人一組,將動作詞卡面朝下放在桌上,兩名學生問第三名學生:..., ..., what can you do? 該學生翻開一張詞卡,根據詞卡上的短語作出回答:i can .... 問問題的兩名學生根據實際情況:yes, you can./no, you can't.
(2)將全班分成兩組,根據游戲的內容進行問答練習,下面的內容供參考:
amy, amy, what can you do? amy, amy, what can you do?

教師出示 pronunciation部分的掛圖,帶領學生認讀or的例詞:short, fork, horse, sport,指導學生歸納or的發音規律。教師示范朗讀句子:a short horse wore orange shorts.學生試著跟錄音朗讀。用類似方法教學all, pl, pr的發音規律。

story time
教師向學生展示story time 部分的掛圖,分別指著圖中的蛇和青蛙問:what's this? 引導學生作出回答:yes, it's a snake / frog do? now let's see. 教師放該部分的錄音,學生翻開學生用書邊聽錄音邊讀故事。教師問學生:what can the frog do? 教師再放一遍錄音,讓學生帶著問題再看一遍故事。教師檢查學生的理解情況,問:can the frog sing? can he dance? can he swim? 引導學生作出回答。然后,學生分小組表演故事。
4.鞏固和延伸(consolidation and extension)
(1)讓學生做本單元a read and write 部分的活動手冊配套練習。
(2)讓學生聽a部分的錄音,讀給家長或同伴聽。
(3)讓學生聽let's sing 部分的歌曲,唱給家長或同伴聽。
