教學重點 12個月份的聽、說認讀及其縮寫形式的書寫，以及句型：when is your birthday? my birthday is in …的運用。
教學難點 january, february的發音和正確書寫12個月份的縮寫形式。
教具準備 12個月份單詞卡片，年歷、日歷、錄音機和磁帶等。

預習提綱
歌曲when is your birthday?的學唱，根據自己的生日改編歌曲，調動學生學習的熱情，使學生處于創作歌曲的成功喜悅中。
warm-up
1、播放歌謠what’s your favorite season?并出示四季單詞卡片，學生看圖隨錄音吟唱歌謠。
2、教師將圖片定格在春季的圖片上，而后問學生what season is it? 如果學生沒有答出，再次播放歌謠。然后讓學生說出i like spring/ summer…
一、導入新課
1、教師事先在黑板上分別給出表示季節的四個方框，然后指著12個月份的單詞卡片，對學生說：there are 12 months in a year. which seasons are warm? 教師繼續說：march is warm, we can fly kites in march? which season is it in? 引導學生回答：in spring.
2、教師指著summer方框，畫一輪太陽，表情夸張的說；oh, summer is after spring. and it’s hot, very very hot. which months are in summer?根據學生的回答教學april，may，august。
3、利用上一游戲引出september，學生跟讀并書寫其縮寫形式后，教師問：what’s the weather like in september? is it very hot? 引導學生回答no, it’s not very hot. it’s cool. 教師說：so it’s in fall.教學fall。
4、在冬季的方框內畫上雪花，做出“冷”的樣子，說：now we have the last season----winter. how cold it is!
二、 操練
1、師生一起做before and after游戲。規則是：在march和august六個單詞中，老師隨機給出一個單詞，舉左手，學生說出前一個月份，右手，說出后一個月份。
2、把學生分成兩組，一組說英語，另一組說漢語。
三、鞏固與延伸
1、完成相對應的配套練習。
2、記熟12個月份的讀法，用所學句型調查一下自己的父母及身邊人的生日。
