1. ask one of the student to pretend to be ill, teacher, wearing a stethoscope on the neck, pretends to be a doctor.
t: what’s wrong with you? s: i’ve got a headache.
t: i’m sorry to hear that. how do you feel now? s: i feel hot.
t: open your mouth and say “ah” s: ahhh.
t: you’ve got a cold. take some medicine and have a lot of rest, s: ok. thank you doctor.
2. show the students a wall picture. talk about the picture, who are they ? what’s wrong with the woman? what’s the doctor’s suggestion?
3. listen to the tape. let the students know the meaning of the whole dialogue. then answer some questions in order to know how much the students understand the dialogue.
