1.基數詞（表示數量的多少，如one, two, three等）；序數詞（表示排列順序，如first, second, third等。）
2.基數詞變成序數詞口訣：一、二、三，單獨記；八去t，九除e， ve要用f替，整十基數變序數，先把ty變成tie；要是遇到兩位數，十位基數個位序，th最后加上去。解析口訣：one→first 1st， two→second 2nd， three→third 3rd這三個詞變化特殊，要單獨記；eight→eighth 8th， nine→ninth 9th， 八去t，九去e后再加-th； five→fifth 5th， twelve→twelfth 20th，五、十二把ve換成f再加-th；twenty→twentieth 20th， thirty→thirtieth 30th... 整十先把詞尾y改為ie再加-th。兩位數時則十位數用基數詞，個位數用序數詞，如：twenty-first 21st。
3.時間的讀法：如 6：00讀作six或six o’clock；8：10讀作eight ten 3:05讀作three o five.
4.日期的讀法：如 1997讀作nineteen ninety seven; 讀作two thousand and eight; XX年2月25日寫作february 25th 或25th february 讀作 february twenty fifth two thousand and thirteen.或 twenty fifth february two thousand and thirteen.
5.數學運算的表達：2+3=5讀作two and three is five或two plus three is five.

九、句型專項歸類
1.肯定句:是指用肯定的語氣來陳述的句子,如:i'm a student. she is a doctor. he works in a hospital.
there are four fans in our classroom. he will eat lunch at 12:00. i watched tv yesterday evening.
2,否定句:含有否定詞或表示否定意義詞的句子,如:i'm not a student. she is not (isn't) a doctor.
he does not (doesn't) work in a hospital. there are not (aren't) four fans in our classroom.
he will not (won't) eat lunch at 12:00. i did not (didn't) watch tv yesterday evening.
☆注意☆ 小結:否定句主要是在肯定句的基礎上加上了否定詞 "not".有動詞be的句子則"not"加在be后面,可縮寫成"isn't,aren't",但am not 一般都分開寫.沒有動詞be的句子則要先在主要動詞的前面加上一個助動詞(do,does,did),然后在它后面加上"not",你也可以把它們縮寫在一起如"don't , doesn't , didn't ).這三個助動詞要根據人稱和時態來選擇,其中"does"只用于一般現在時主語是第三人稱單數的情況,而"did"只用于一般過去時,不論主語是什么人稱和數,都用"did" .
