2.老師出示一張圖片并介紹說：
look! what are they doing?（他們在干什么呢）they are playing. this is tom. he is jumping rope. this is mike. he is playing volleyball. oh, they are tom’s classmates. they are playing football.（教師指著圖片上玩悠悠球的男孩問）who’s that boy?（that’s…）what is he doing?同時老師告訴學生這個句子的意思。這樣學生會說：他在玩悠悠球。老師可以馬上說：ah，yes, he is playing with a yo-yo.當介紹這張圖片時，老師可以拿一個悠悠球邊玩邊說：this a yo-yo. i am playing with a yo-yo.
3.老師放課文錄音，讓學生聽音復述。老師最后完整地介紹一遍這段對話，并將重點句子寫在黑板上。

4.講述現在進行時態的用法和結構：當我們描繪當前人正在做某事時，我們用be+動詞的現在分詞來構成進行時態，其中be有人稱、數的變化，還會有時態的變化。
（三）鞏固練習
1.聽錄音，跟讀課文。
2.老師領讀黑板上的重點句型。
3.放錄音，讓學生跟讀第20頁的新單詞和詞組。
4.讓學生兩人一組練習新對話。
5.老師抽查學生新單詞和新對話的掌握情況。對掌握好的學生給予表揚，鼓勵他們進行領讀。
6.做《活動手冊》上的聽力練習。
