  1. listen, speak, read, write the followings: by bus, by bike, by boat, on foot, by ship, by train, by plane, by subway, south, north, east, west, square, the great wall, station, airport, cinema, bank, post office, hospital, book store.

  2. can listen, speak, read and write relevant preposition phrases and some place names, also use them in the real situation.

  3. can listen, speak and use the followings: how do we go there?  on foot? no, it’s too far. can we go by bike? no, you can’t. you’re too young. let’s go by bus. great! i can’t wait. we can also go by boat. i go to school on foot. can you tell me the way to …?

  4. can listen, speak, read and write phonetic alphabets and followings.

  5. can understand the content of the parts of “read and think” and “let’s sing”.

  1. understand difference of work and rest habit between chinese and foreign life.

  2. understand some customs in china and abroad.

  3. teach students the way they treat people.

students of analysis: the students of grade five have english foundation for more than two years, it is very important to stimulate the interest. education must be fun. the english teaching of primary school should proceed with various interests of children's, by means of  various activities, carry on training and cultivation of the integration capability in listening, saying, singing and playing.
