(1) fall into在這里是“落入、陷入”的意思。
some ash fell into my cup. 一些灰掉進我的杯子里了。
a ripe fruit happened to fall into his hand. 一個熟了的果子碰巧掉在他手里。
(2)fall into有時也可以作“開始”解。
he fell into conversation with me. 他開始和我談起話來。
(3)remain 表示“繼續、依然、停留”，后面接名詞，動詞不定式。
he remained a prisoner for the rest of his life. 他的余生都在牢中度過。

(4)remain后面也可以接副詞或介詞短語。

remain還有“剩下、殘余”的意思。

way主要有以下幾種用法：
◎表示“方法”，接不定式，...way to do sth這一結構等于...way of doing sth。
scientists are trying to find ways to prevent(of preventing) disease.

there are many ways of traveling(to travel), for example, by air.
旅行有許多方式，例如乘飛機。
◎表示“路途”，“路線”，常構成on one’s/the way to...“在……的途中”。在這一結構中，介詞to表示方向，后接名詞。如果后面接地點副詞如here, there, home時則不用to。

she’s on her way to see the film.她正在去看電影的路上。
◎表示“方向”。
