1、熟練地掌握和運用單詞long, short, big, small。
2、能綜合運用本單元所學過的單詞、句型和日常交際用語。
3、能初步改編或擴充本單元所學的對話。
四、教學難點
1、能正確地運用本單元所學句型，并能在具體情景中以口、筆頭形式進行交流。
2、字母l, m在單詞中的發音。
五、課前準備
1、教具準備：實物投影儀、錄音機和磁帶、幾張場景圖。
2、教學準備：學生帶一些學具。
3、板書準備：黑板上預先寫好課題unit  6 whose gloves?及日期。
六、教學過程
step 1   warming-up
1.sing an english songs
2.free talk ( t-ss,  t-s,  s-s)
t: it is the fourth period of this unit, boys and girls, how are you this morning? glad to see you. do you like our school? do you like our classroom?
3.say something about the students’ clothes: look at his shirt. it’s big.
4.say a rhyme:  <a funny goat>要求學生有節奏地誦讀這首歌謠。
step 2   revision
1、請學生完成part d的練習 look, read and complete。
2、請學生拿出自己的學習用品，用所學句型進行操練。
step 3   presention
1.read and act
t: now, boys and girls, look at my pencil. is it long?
s: no, it isn’t.
t: my pencil is too short. look at this pencil.
whose pencil is it?（ 出示一張helen手拿鉛筆的掛圖）
s: it’ s helen’s.
t: helen’s pencil is too short. she wants a long one. let’s listen !
who helps her? ( 請學生聽磁帶，理解對話)
t: who knows? who can help helen?
s: david.
t: helen’s rubber is too small, too.
t: now read by yourselves. then i’ll ask someone to act as helen and david.\
( 發頭飾給學生，讓他們扮演helen和david ) 2.listen  and  repeat
part f這一部分為語音練習，通過朗讀單詞和句子，讓學生體會字母l ,m在單詞中的讀音。
1、出示字母l, m在單詞中發[l] [m]音的單詞: long, mum, mother。
2、先示范朗讀單詞，然后請學生跟讀，體會單詞中的共同音素。
3、讓學生試著讀單詞like, lunch, mango, milk。
4、教i’ d like some milk and mangos for lunch..這句話。先出示圖片，讓學生邊看圖邊讀句子，盡可能讓學生自己理解意思：我午餐想要吃一些牛奶和芒果。
5、讓學生找出一些其它所學過的含有相同發音的單詞。
6、讓學生用所找出的單詞試編一些新的繞口令。
step 5   consolidation
1. play a game
(touch and guess游戲，進一步掌握形容詞和本單元句型的用法。老師事先準備好一個袋子，里面有各種服飾和學習用品，讓學生摸一摸，猜一猜，用所學句型說一說，做得最好的同學可得到一些獎勵。)
step 6   homework
1、默寫本單元所學的對話。 
2、完成練習冊中本單元的練習。
3、熟讀本單元的對話，并根據周圍的情景運用所學句型自編對話。
