三：動詞不定式的用法 ：
（一）。 不定式的進行式主要表示與謂語動詞的動作同時發生且正在進行的動作。
  it appears to be raining.  he pretended to be reading an important paper when the boss entered.
the old man seems to be dying. （表示將來）
（二） 不定式完成式主要表示發生在謂語動作之前的動作或表示在某個給定的時間之前已完成的動作。

  還可表示過去未曾實現的想法或愿望。
 i should like to have come earlier.   i was to have told you about it but i didn’t have time to come over.
（三） 不定式完成進行式主要表示在謂語動作之前一直在進行的動作。
