5 whether 與if ： if 用在條件狀語從句中意為“如果” if it rains tomorrow, we will not go to the park.
  if 用在賓語從句中時可與whether互換  we don’t know if/whether he can come.
 但在下列情況下必須用whether :
(1)     正式文體中，句中有or not 時。 i wonder whether it is big enough or not.
(2)     引導主語、表語、同位語從句時。 whether it is true remains a question.
