第二步:呈現
1.出示教學掛圖,圖片講解1a。教師介紹圖片內容,使聽力容易一些。如:
mike is mary’s new neighbor. he is looking for a store. there is a store in front of their building. also there is a bank on the street corner.
2.聽錄音,模仿語音語調。
3.讀對話,做結對練習。
4.完成1b,1c。
5.游戲時空:以小組為單位,要求一個學生用英語描述所看到的圖片,另一個學生說出那個詞。如:
學生a:we can park our cars there. 學生b:parking lot.
學生a:we can eat meals there. 學生b:restaurant.
先小組比賽,然后小組的獲勝者在黑板前進行比賽。
第三步:鞏固
1.圖片描述:linda正在給“綠色社區服務中心”打電話。一個男人正在接電話,討論修理廚房排氣扇的問題。
2.聽錄音,兩人一組練習,完成2a。
3.兩人一組的長時間的對話練習。
第四步:練習
1.完成2b,學生通過聽、說、讀,然后進行鏈狀對話檢查,訓練學生的流利程度。
2.學生從機械練習過渡到有意義的練習,可以進行人稱、地點和物品的替換。如對下列詞的替換:man,linda,green community service centre,apartment 606,building a,kitchen fan等。
第五步:綜合探究活動
做調查:調查你的社區有哪些公共設施,這些公共設施給你的生活帶來了什么方便和實惠。你認為還需要增加哪些設施,使你的生活更美好。如:
in my area, life is easy. if you want to eat out, you can go to a restaurant. a man from hunan runs it. the dishes there are cheap and delicious. if you want to… and in my opinion, i think a bank is necessary…

第一步:復習
1.談論你所生活的社區情況,回答下列問題。
問題1:is there a bank around you?
問題2:where can you buy fruits?
問題3:is there a community service centre in your area?
2.討論:如果你家中的東西壞了,誰能幫你的忙?
3.展示1,教師出示圖片1(教學掛圖)。盡量多地用there be結構講述1。
4.對1部分進行師生問答,檢查理解的程度(口頭)。
where is your home? / are there many buildings in your area? / are there many shops and restaurants there? / what’s near the supermarket?
5.學生獨自完成2。
第二步:呈現
1.圖片引入3a:教師根據圖片內容,復述對話,然后問問題。
look! dave is playing the piano. he is playing beautifully,but it is too loud. mr. smith is knocking at the door. mr. smith is talking about it to dave. dave is really sorry. he will try to play quietly.
2.聽錄音,回答問題。
