知識競猜可以提高學生學習英語的積極性和樂趣。同時也能夠提高學生對其它地方知識的進一步認識。
事先可以先介紹一些城市的天氣，讓學生在接下來的竟猜中能理解句子的意識，并做出正確的猜測。

設計意圖：通過知識競猜的活動讓學生學中玩，大大提高學生學習的樂趣和積極性，避免枯燥乏味的學習單詞。

小組競賽活動如下：
1. 一位學生先說季節，另一位學生說季節特征。如：spring和warm。
2.一位學生形容季節，另一位學生說是哪一個季節。如：
the house is white. the tree and grass are white.
everything is white.
3. 一位學生來到講臺上，老師拿出一幅圖其他學生說出季節，
這位學生做有關這個季節的動作。
請學生做一下在這個季節中有哪些活動的動作，其他學生可根據他的動作猜一猜。
設計意圖：鞏固的目的在于將這堂課所學的知識讓學生能夠再一次的回憶起來，所以教師最好用一種方法將這些知識串聯起來，這樣學生接受起來比較容易。
為了讓學生對“what’s the weather like?”這一句運用熟練，可以讓一個學生問，另一個學生回答每個天氣的情況。
step6. play a game.
拿出準備好的圖片，每組出一人，組成一個新的小組，每人四張，第一個學生說出圖的內容，下一個學生如果有與之相配的圖說出并扔下，第一個手中無圖的學生為勝者，并為原小組積分。
游戲可以增強學生學習的興趣，同時也能夠起到鞏固作用。
