get ss to tell the names of different parts of body, such as head,face,nose,eyes,mouth,eyelids,teeth,ears,hair,neck,arms,hands,chest,fingers,knee,leg,feet,toes……
get ss to look at the pictures on part a (p93).
then get ss to say the plural form of these animals and find out the special form of “goldfish” and “mouse”
step 6 match the reasons with the animals
get ss to do part b (p89) individually. then check the answers.
step 7discussion
get ss to work in groups to talk about their favourite pets and why they like them.
then some group leaders report the information about their groups.
step 8 make a survey
to see how many students in class have kept pets and what pets they are.
step 9 assignment:
1.recite the dialogue on page 88 and some important sentences on page 89 .2.write 3-4 sentences about your pet .
