1.on, in, under, behind, between等在英語中為介詞，用來表達東西在哪兒。
（1）i’m between the trees. 我在兩棵樹之間。between意為“在……（兩者）之間”，通常與and連用。例如：i’m between millie and peter.我在米莉和皮特之間。
（2）peter is in front of the gate. 皮特在大門前。
2. in front of意思是“在……的前面”，表示某個物體在某個范圍之外的前方。如：there is a big tree in front the building. 樓前有一棵大樹。
in the front of意思為“在……前部”，表示某物在某范圍之內的前部。如：
there is a teacher’s desk in the front of the classroom. 教師前面有一個講臺。
3. where is the bird? 小鳥在哪兒？ it’s in the tree. 在樹上。
in the tree（在樹上）強調的是外部事物在樹上。
on the tree（在樹上）則表示本身長出的東西在樹上，如花，樹葉，果實等。
4. what about shops? 商店呢？
what about …? 意思是“……怎么樣？”表示一種詢問或建議。
如：i’m a student. what about you? 我是學生，你呢？
5.what’s under the tree? 樹下有什么？
what’s + 介詞詞組？是一個非常重要的句型，用來詢問“某地于什么”。回答這個句型通常“there be句型”，有時還可用it’s … 或they’re …
6. it’s not very big but it’s beautiful. 雖然它不是很大，但是很漂亮。
but是轉折連詞，意為“但是，可是”。放在第二個句子前面。如：
the room is small, but it’s very clean. 這個房間雖小，但是很干凈。
