教學目標 1.掌握主要句型：how heavy are you?  i′ m ¬¬¬¬48 kg.
               i’m thinner than you，and shorter.
2.能詢問、回答有關體重、身高、腳的大小尺寸、頭發的長度等問題，并能在實際生活中運用。
3.學中用，用中學，培養學生養成運用英語解決問題的好習慣。
教學重難點 1、  本課的重點是學會正確詢問體重并根據回答作出討論，涉及的句型是：how heavy are you ?  i‘m _____ kg. i′ m thinner than you，and shorter.
2、  難點：根據實際情況靈活運用how tall/long/heavy… are you？能正確運用長度和重量單位。
教具
準備 1、  課前準備錄音機磁帶。
2、  教師準備本課時所需的表格。

step 1 preparation
1. let’s enjoy the song” my pets”.

參考句型： how are you?  how old are you?  how long is your desk？how tall are you?       
i’m…. i’m taller / … than you.
（3）找出高矮、胖瘦、年齡大小差距較大的三組學生，讓其他同學通過比較說句子。a is ...than b.
設計思路：通過師生，生生對話，來復習舊知識，來復習舊句型，同時來簡化新句型學習的難度。
3. act out the dialogue on page 4.
設計思路：激發學生的表現欲望，使其思維進入相關知識領域。
4. review the words.
設計思路：使學生進入輕松活躍的學習氛圍，為本課教學做鋪墊。
step 2 presentation
   1. let’s try
（1）學生自己閱讀課本中的相關畫面，進行預測。please look at the pictures carefully.
（2）教師播放錄音，學生選擇正確的圖畫。listen to the tape and try to find out the picture.
（3）教師再次播放錄音，學生聽錄音填入缺少的單詞。listen again and write down the missing words.
（4）教師訂正正確答案。let’s check up the answer.
（5）請有能力的學生根據聽到的內容試著說一句話。would you try to say a sentence to describe the pictures?
設計思路：讓學生初步感知本課時的主要句型。

    i′ m thinner than you，and shorter.
(1) t: i am 55 kg heavy. how heavy are you?
引導學生回答后再引導學生反問老師，can you ask me?以學說并練習句子
how heavy are you?(板書)
ss read this drill one by one.
t: ok. how heavy are you?
s: i’m 48 kg.
t: oh! you are healthy.
同位利用該句型相互詢問。
設計思路：學中用，用中學以便于學生快速掌握。
(2)老師找一名學生s
t: i am 55 kg. how heavy are you?
s: i’m 50 kg.
t: you are 50 kg .which one is thinner?
s: i am thinner than you and i am shorter than you.
