1.preparation
(1) let’s chant.

t: how tall are you ?
s: i’m 160 cm tall.
t: i’m 166 cm. i’m 6cm taller than you. (you’re 6cm shorter than me)
(3)讓學(xué)生模仿剛才的對(duì)話,使用句型:how tall/ heavy/ old are you? i’m … i’m …(比較級(jí)) than you. 在小組內(nèi)調(diào)查某名學(xué)生的身高、體重、年齡等,然后請(qǐng)幾組學(xué)生匯報(bào)調(diào)查情況。
設(shè)計(jì)意圖:通過說唱自編歌謠復(fù)習(xí)鞏固a課所學(xué)單詞,讓學(xué)生加深印象并活躍課堂氣氛,讓學(xué)生在輕松愉快的環(huán)境下進(jìn)入學(xué)習(xí)的最佳狀態(tài),同時(shí)為新課的學(xué)習(xí)做鋪墊。
2.presentation
(1)教師拿出一個(gè)氣球,請(qǐng)一名學(xué)生上臺(tái)吹氣球:“please make it bigger.”教師帶領(lǐng)全班學(xué)生跟隨該學(xué)生吹氣球的節(jié)奏喊:“bigger! bigger! bigger!”教師領(lǐng)讀并板書該單詞,讓兩排學(xué)生輪流拼讀單詞。(注意bigger需要雙寫字母g,再加er, big--bigger )教師接著說:“l(fā)ook at the balloon, it is bigger.”并領(lǐng)讀該句子,自編chant,和學(xué)生一起說唱:bigger, bigger, bigger, the balloon is bigger。然后教師拿著已經(jīng)吹大的氣球,一點(diǎn)一點(diǎn)放出空氣,帶領(lǐng)學(xué)生說:“smaller! smaller! smaller!”教師板書并領(lǐng)讀該單詞,讓兩排學(xué)生輪流拼讀單詞。教師指著氣球說:“l(fā)ook at the balloon, it is smaller now.”并領(lǐng)讀該句子,自編chant,和學(xué)生一起說唱:smaller, smaller, smaller, the balloon is smaller。
(2)教師拿出一段橡皮筋,一邊拉長(zhǎng),一邊領(lǐng)學(xué)生說:“l(fā)onger! longer! longer! 接著慢慢放松橡皮筋說:“shorter! shorter! shorter!”然后板書并領(lǐng)讀這兩個(gè)單詞,讓兩排學(xué)生分別拼讀這兩個(gè)單詞。自編chant,和學(xué)生一起說唱:longer, longer, longer, it is longer. shorter, shorter, shorter, it is shorter.
(3)教師問:“who is strong in our class?”學(xué)生會(huì)說:“a is strong .no,...is stronger! no,...is stronger than...”教師請(qǐng)出其中一名學(xué)生,說:“you’re strong. how many books can you carry?”然后讓他伸開雙臂抱書本,教師一本一本往上加時(shí)說:“heavier! heavier! heavier!”教師板書heavier并領(lǐng)讀該詞,請(qǐng)學(xué)生再次確認(rèn)從heavy到heavier的詞尾變化。(先把y變?yōu)閕,再加er.)自編chant,和學(xué)生一起說唱:heavier,heavier, heavier, the books are heavier.
(4)教師出示一組胖瘦強(qiáng)烈對(duì)比的圖片說:“l(fā)ook! she is heavy! she wants to be thinner. so she does exercises everyday and eats less meat. she is thin after three months. she keeps doing exercises. she is thinner after another three months.”然后板書并領(lǐng)讀thinner.(強(qiáng)調(diào)thinner要先雙寫字母n,再加er.)讓兩排學(xué)生分別拼讀這個(gè)單詞。自編chant,和學(xué)生一起說唱: thinner, thinner, thinner, she is thinner.
