句中的disappointing用來作賓補，表達“令人失望”之意，而disappointed的意思是“失望的”。基他類似的詞還有：interesting, boring, tiring, frightening, exciting, surprising都含有“令人……”之意，而interested, bored, tired, frightened, excited, surprised都含有“感到……” 之意。
3. although i knew how to create life, how to prepare a body for it with all its muscles and organs still remained a difficult job.盡管我知道如何創造生命，但如何用肌肉和器官為它（生命）準備一個生命體還是個很困難的工作。
