9. intend  vt.  想要, 打算; 企圖 ;設計; 計劃; 意指, 意思是

what do you intend by that remark?   你說這話是什么意思?

i  intend it as a stop -gap.  我想拿它湊數。

mean 可與 intend互換, 但強調“做事的意圖”, 較口語化, 如:

11. aware    adj.   [用作表語]知道的; 意識到的
he wasn’t aware of the danger.   他沒意識到有危險。

注意：后接從句時of 要省略。
